Pro Tip of the Week
The bass spend most of their time in the winter in coves with steep banks and secondary points. Good conditions will help pull the fish up in the water column and make them occasionally feed. Fishing an area where there are bait fish is helpful but not mandatory. You should be seeing fish occasionally on your electronics. Fish those areas thoroughly by making multiple casts to any area that holds fish. Winter fish group together, and catching a limit of quality bass off one small stretch of bank or point is not uncommon.

Will Weather be in Our Favor?
It's always hard to say, and even harder at times to trust what the weatherman predicts, but here's what we're potentially looking at. According to AccuWeather, we're looking at having a fairly mild February, which is fantastic for us anglers! Most of the month (so far) is looking sunny and in the 30s and 40s, until the last week of February. Then we're expected to see some temps in the 50s! So far, the radar is only indicating possible rain during the weekend of the 23rd.

What does the Farmer's Almanac say? Well, according to the good book, we're to expect flurries within the first week. The second and third week will deliver some rain and possible more snow. We'll have a sunny fourth week, and a rainy last few days to close out the month. Temperatures are expected to be in the 30s range. Now, Missouri weather can be pretty unpredictable and change on a dime, so be smart, and watch the weather daily before going out to any tournament!
