Jack has been working
in the fishing industry since 1997, and he’s been fishing Lake of the Ozarks
since he was a child. His first job ever was working at a local St. Louis
tackle store, Paul’s Bait and Tackle, counting night crawlers and taking care
of the crickets and minnow system. Jack moved to the Ozarks to go to college,
and during that time worked at Bass Pro Shopsin the fishing department. He
started fishing and winning club tournaments, and then as a Co-Angler on some larger
regional fishing circuits.
Jack worked as a
fishing guide for two years in the Minnesota Boundary Waters before moving to
the Lake of the Ozarks. In 2003, he started his own guide service called simply
“Jack’s Guide Service”, which has become increasingly successful each year.
Jack is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Lake of the Ozarks guide. In 2005, he was
offered the Head Guide position at Tan-Tar-A Resort, a position he still holds.
Jack is out on the Lake of the Ozarks about 300 days each year!
He’s put in a lot of
hard work and in 2008 he grew his business to full-time work in 2008. Even
after thousands of trips he still thoroughly enjoys helping people catching
fish. That’s his goal and where he gets the most enjoyment out of his life when
he helps someone succeed in fishing.
James is a U.S. Coast
Guard licensed Lake of the Ozarks guide whose goal is to make your fishing
experience a fun and educational one. He has been fishing the Lake of the
Ozarks both for fun and competitively for 20 years with great success, and has
spent many hours developing seasonal patterns to catch fish all year long.
James has won around 20 of the bigger bass tournaments and is best
known for his jig-fishing skills. James is the owner of James Dill Guide
Service and Cock-o-Gator Bait Company.
Wayne has been fishing
since he was old enough to walk. As a youngster, he fished a lot of small lakes
and farm ponds. He learned tournament strategies fishing on the Gasconade and
Osage Rivers and has fished many tournaments in the Midwest. Together with
his brother Roger, Wayne estimates they have won 25-30 tournaments. He caught
his biggest Lake of the Ozarks’ bass ever, 8 pounds 14 ounces, on a fall jig
pattern he made himself fishing a shallow dock. He has been building custom
rods and lures for about 10 years and is the owner of Fitz Fishing Tackle and
Supplies in Osage Beach, Missouri.
