2018 Bassing Bob Summer Bass Sizzler

Bassing Bob Summer Bass Sizzler

Where: Ozark Village Resort
1062 Susan Rd, Lake Ozark Missouri 65049
When: August 11th - August 12th, 2018
Prize: $5,000 to the winner based on 30 boats

Eligibility: All individuals who have paid the appropriate entry fee. Anglers under 16 may compete as a non-boater. Anglers under 16 must be accompanied by a boater who is their legal guardian or have a waiver and consent signed by their legal guardian.

Entry Fee: $400.00 per boat includes Big Bass. Entries will be accepted in person at the ramp beginning at 5:00AM, by mail, or online at www.bassingbob.com and Fitz Fishing in Osage Beach. All entries submitted within 48 hours of the tournament must be in person and pay by cash only, including at the ramp registrations.  No more than 2 people per boat.
Tournament Hours: Take off will be at 6:30 a.m. (or at the earliest safe time) and weigh in at 2:30 p.m. All fish must be caught during the tournament hours. 
Take Off and Weigh-in: OZARK VILLAGE RESORT. (In the back of McCoy Branch Cove - 2MM) Boat ramp with plenty of trailer parking. Take off will be determined by the sequence in which entry fees are received.  Day 2 take off will be determined by ranking after the 1st day, with the highest weight first. The take off order for those tied after the first day will be determined by earliest registration.

Livewell Checks: Livewell Checks will start at 5:30 AM.  A tournament official must check your live well prior to your takeoff.
Tackle and Equipment: Only artificial baits may be used. Pork style baits will be allowed.
Multi-rigs Restricted: Multi bait rigs (i.e. Alabama Rig, Yumbrella, etc.) are restricted from use. Should you have any questions about your bait being considered a multi-rig bait, check with tournament officials prior to take-off. Anyone caught fishing with a multi rig bait will immediately be disqualified from the tournament.
No Trolling: All bass must be caught on a rod and reel.
Boats and Motors: Any boat 14 feet or longer will be accepted. Boats must have a functional live well and a functional kill switch. No trailering during tournament hours.
Safety and Sportsmanship: Safe boating and fishing practices must be observed. Life jackets must be worn at any time the big motor is running. All Missouri Department of Conservation and Missouri State Water Patrol regulations and laws apply. Alcohol consumption is not permitted in a contestant’s boat during tournament hours.
Permitted Fishing Locations: There will be no fishing allowed from point to point and inside of the coves of Pa He Tsi, PB2 and the two coves to the right/south of PB2 all of Alhonna Cove (Workmans Cove), point to point inside buoys of Coffman Access, point to point inside Shawnee Bend Access and point to point and inside Red Oak Cove.   Any team caught fishing in these areas will be immediately disqualified and entry fees forfeited a polygraph test will be administered to all winners. There shall be no fishing within 50 yards of another contestant’s boat at anchor.

Alternate/Substitute Fisherman: There will be no alternate or substitute fisherman allowed.   You must either register as a team or as an individual for the tournament.  Individual anglers are allowed to enter the tournament but will not be allowed to add a team member for day two.  A member of a registered team may fish as an individual on Day 1 or Day 2 but not both unless registered as an individual.
Short Fish/ Dead Fish Penalty: Any fish brought to the scales that are under the specified length will result in a 1 pound deduction of your total weight and loss of the fish.  Dead fish will also result in a 1 pound penalty. Culling of a dead fish is prohibited. Only 5 bass will be allowed in the live well at any time unless in the process of culling.
Protest: Must be filed 15 minutes after the weigh-in.
Ties: Ties for final standings and payouts will be broken by your teams biggest bass of the tournament.  In the event there is still a tie, the tie will be broken based on earliest registration (lowest boat number on day one). 
Scoring and Payout: Largemouth and Smallmouth bass 15” in length or larger and Spotted bass 12” in length or larger will be scored. 5 Fish limit per day. 

Payouts will be made as follows:

1st Place - 2 Day Total Weight $2,500 for each 15 boats (30 boats = $5,000.00)
Additional payout places to be paid based on every 8 boats.
Payouts will increase with the addition of each entry based on a 90% payback scale.
Check in Late Penalty: 1 pound per minute up to 10 minutes, then disqualification. No excuses.

Polygraph: Each contestant agrees by his or her signature on the application to submit to a polygraph test. Tournament directors will determine who will take the test. Refusal to take or failure to pass the test will result in disqualification and forfeiture of your entry fees.
Weather: Each tournament day is subject to cancellation or delay prior to take off time at the discretion of the tournament committee.   In the event of cancellation of one day of the two days, the tournament will be executed as a single day tournament.  In the event that both days need to be cancelled, each team will receive a full refund of entry fees paid.
